The Wine

Yorkshire Heart Vineyard cultivates over 22,000 vines across 14 acres, producing a diverse range of fine English wines. Their portfolio includes still red, white, and rosé wines, as well as sparkling wines made using the traditional method. They also produce varietal wines, including an orange wine, and a dessert wine. The entire process, from grape cultivation and handpicking to fermentation, bottling, and labelling, is completed on-site in their own winery by chief winemaker Gillian Spakouskas, ensuring a true "grape to glass" Yorkshire product.

The vineyard has received significant recognition for its wines. At the WineGB Midlands & North members awards, Yorkshire Heart secured seven medals for all seven of their entries. Their Latimer Red, Eleanor Rosé, and Solaris Orange wines each received a bronze medal. Silver medals were awarded to their Sparkling White, Sparkling Red, Latimer White, and the new Solara dessert wine. Furthermore, they were honored with four prestigious trophies, including The Joyce Boulos-Hanna trophy for their Sparkling Red, The Egaltine trophy for best Sparkling White, The Laurel Vines cup for best Orange wine, and the Yorkshire Heart Shield for best Estate grown and bottled Sparkling wine. In 2024, their Latimer White 2023 also won a Silver medal at the Wines of Great Britain Awards.
