The Wine

Upperton Vineyards is dedicated to producing high-quality English sparkling wines using traditional methods, akin to those used in Champagne. The vineyard cultivates classic Champagne grape varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, alongside some Pinot Noir Précoce. Their portfolio includes a range of sparkling wines such as the Blanc de Blancs 'Alia' (made from 100% Chardonnay), 'Nebula' (a blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay), and 'Tenebris' (crafted from Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier).

The wines have garnered significant recognition, winning numerous international awards. Notably, Upperton Vineyards secured a Gold award in both the prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA) and the International Wine Challenge (IWC) for its 2013 vintage of 'Alia' Blanc de Blancs in 2017. More recently, their Aurora 2014 received a Silver award in the Decanter World Wine Awards. The vineyard handles the winemaking process on-site, allowing for meticulous control from grape to bottle.
