The Wine

Poulton Hill Estate, established in 2010, cultivates 8,800 vines across south-facing slopes, hand-harvesting grapes to produce up to 20,000 bottles of wine annually. Their range includes white, rosé, red, and sparkling wines, crafted from grape varieties such as Bacchus, Seyval Blanc, Phoenix, Pinot Noir, Regent, and Rondo. In addition to wines, the estate also produces English spirits, including Cotswold Brandy. The wines are carefully blended and balanced by an experienced contract winemaker and distiller.

Poulton Hill wines and spirits have garnered multiple accolades, reflecting their consistent quality. Recent awards include the Gloucestershire Foodie Awards Winner – Best Artisan Drinks Producer 2025, and being named Best Vineyard in the Cotswolds by the Cotswold Awards 2024 and Cotswold Concierge 2023. Their Bulari sparkling wine received a Silver medal in the Gastronomic category at the Glass of Bubbly Awards 2023. Other notable achievements include multiple Silver and Bronze medals at the WineGB West Awards and WineGB Awards for various vintages, including their Arlington White, Arlington Red, Special Reserve White, and Bulari Sparkling wines in 2019 and 2022.

The estate demonstrates a commitment to environmental responsibility, with rare-breed Babydoll sheep grazing among the vines to help with tidying and soil fertilization.
