The Wine

Off The Line Vineyard primarily focuses on producing premium still rosé wines, with a portfolio that also includes sparkling rosé. They cultivate red grape varieties including Regent, Pinot Noir, Rondo, and Dornfelder. Recent plantings have also introduced Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. Their wines are acclaimed as "award winning" original English rosé wines, both still and sparkling. Their award-winning portfolio includes Hip Rosé, Dancing Dog, Dog Rosé, and the sparkling Charmat.

Sustainability is a core principle at Off The Line Vineyard. The vineyard is dedicated to maintaining and improving soil health, conserving the environment, and promoting biodiversity. All vine prunings are mulched annually to return nutrients to the soil, and they specifically grow disease-resistant grapevine varieties to significantly reduce the need for pesticides. They aim to follow organic practices wherever possible, minimising intervention. The vineyard's 13-hectare site includes species-rich pasture, ponds, and natural woodland, contributing to its rich biodiversity.

The vineyard boasts a purpose-built, modern cedar-clad winery, constructed with a high priority on sustainability. Grapes are pressed on-site, and the winery employs a state-of-the-art waste water treatment plant to handle effluent responsibly. After pressing, grape skins and stems are composted on the vineyard, and no animal products are used in their winemaking, making their wines suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
