What's the vibe

Oaken Grove Vineyard is a family-run boutique vineyard nestled in the picturesque Chiltern Hills, surrounded by ancient woodlands. Visitors often describe the setting as tranquil and beautiful, with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Visiting information

Tours & Tastings: Vineyard tours and wine tasting sessions are popular and run up to twice a day on most weekends, specifically Fridays and Saturdays, during their season. Booking in advance is required for these sessions.

Wine Terrace: The wine terrace and courtyard are open during the summer months, offering a tranquil setting to enjoy wines, often accompanied by platters of local cheeses and charcuterie. While you can sometimes pop in, reserving a table is recommended, especially if you plan to enjoy sharing platters.
Opening Hours: Oaken Grove Vineyard operates seasonally and is not open year-round, particularly in off-peak seasons. It is advisable to check their website for current opening times and availability.

Food & Drink: There isn't a full-service restaurant on site, but they provide cheese and charcuterie platters that can be pre-ordered with tour bookings or reserved for the wine terrace. The vineyard also hosts occasional food pop-ups and pizza events.

Special Events: Throughout the year, Oaken Grove Vineyard hosts a variety of public events, including music events like 'Jazz in the Vines' and movie screenings. The venue is also available for private events, corporate meetings, and a limited number of weddings.

Accommodation: There is no accommodation directly on site.

Accessibility: Service dogs are permitted, and the vineyard offers facilities such as ramp/level access and wheelchair accessibility. Dogs are generally welcome.

The Wine

Oaken Grove Vineyard produces a range of acclaimed English still and sparkling wines, including white, rosé, and sparkling varieties. They cultivate Pinot Noir, Bacchus, and Madeleine Angevine grapes across seven acres. In 2020, they also produced their first English still red wine from their Pinot Noir vines. The vineyard prides itself on creating fresh, modern wines.

Their wines have received numerous accolades. Most recently, at the Thames & Chiltern Vineyard Association Wine Challenge in 2023, Oaken Grove Vineyard was awarded Gold for Best Sparkling Wine Trophy and also received the Best Wine Overall award.

Oaken Grove Vineyard is a family-owned business dedicated to sustainable agriculture, employing traditional methods to cultivate their grapes and focusing on producing unique, small-batch wines. They craft their wines on site, with bottles available directly from their cellar door.
