Visiting information

Opening Hours: The cellar door and winery shop are generally open Monday to Sunday, 11 AM - 4 PM. Specific food service times and events may vary, so it's always advisable to check their website or contact them directly for the most up-to-date information.

Drop-in or Pre-book: You can pop into the cellar door for a relaxed afternoon aperitif, enjoy wines by the glass, or opt for a self-guided wine tasting flight. While walk-ins are welcome, booking is advised for larger groups or if you plan on having a guided tasting.Tours: Guided winery tours, which include a tasting, are typically offered every Sunday from April to October.

Restaurant/Cafe: Knightor Winery hosts "Arbo" for Sunday lunches at their main winery site, featuring seasonal menus with local produce. Cheeseboards are also available Monday to Saturday at the winery shop.

The Wine

Knightor Winery produces a range of premium quality English still and sparkling wines, including white, rosé, and red varieties, alongside their unique Cornish vermouths. They cultivate a variety of grapes, including Seyval Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Madeleine Angevine, Riesling, Rondo, and Bacchus.

Their wines have garnered significant recognition. Notably, Knightor's 2015 Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine was awarded "World's Finest" at the prestigious 2024 Glass of Bubbly Champagne and Sparkling Wine Awards. Other accolades from the 2024 Glass of Bubbly Awards include gold medals for their Vintage Cuvée 2014 and Classic Cuvée Rosé, and a silver for their Classic White Cuvée. Their dessert wine, Mena Hweg, also received the "Critics Choice" award at the Sommelier Wine Awards.

Knightor operates as a working winery, crafting limited production wines from grapes grown in their own vineyards in Portscatho and Seaton, as well as from other English vineyards. While Knightor Winery states they practice sustainability to ensure high-quality grapes and minimal environmental impact, they are not certified as an organic wine producer.
