Visiting information

Tours: Huxbear Vineyard primarily operates on a pre-booked tour basis. Tours typically last about 90 minutes and conclude with a complimentary wine tasting. Exclusive discounts are offered on any wine purchases made during your visit. Please note that tours are scheduled to close at the end of August 2025 and will reopen in Spring 2026. Non-walking tours are available upon request for those with limited mobility.

Wine Sales: The vineyard is open for wine sales by appointment from Monday to Saturday, 11 am to 5 pm, and Sunday, 12 pm to 4 pm.

Dogs & Children: Well-behaved dogs are welcome to join tours. Children under 16 can also join tours for free when accompanied by an adult.

The Wine

Huxbear Vineyard is a family-owned estate in Devon's Teign Valley, producing award-winning English still and sparkling wines. They cultivate a variety of grapes, including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Bacchus, Schonberger, and Siegerrebe, which are used to craft their Red, White, Rosé, Orange, and Sparkling wines. Their wines, such as the Classic Sparkling Cuvée and Artio Bacchus, have received positive recognition.

The vineyard is committed to sustainability, operating entirely off-grid with power primarily generated by an on-site solar array. They employ minimum intervention techniques in both the vineyard and winery, focusing on integrated pest management and reducing their ecological footprint. All Huxbear wines are vegan-friendly. The vineyard also boasts its own winery on site.
