Visiting information

Heron Farm welcomes visitors to its scenic estate near Honiton, offering a diverse range of experiences.

Cellar Door & Tastings: You are welcome to pop in for tastings and purchases at the Cellar Door, which is open Thursday to Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm, with no prior booking required.


Restaurant: The on-site restaurant is open for lunch and dinner Thursday to Saturday, and lunch on Sunday. Bookings are recommended, especially for dinner.


Vineyard Tours: Regular vineyard tours and tastings are available throughout the year, but these must be pre-booked directly through their website. Private tours can also be arranged.

Special Events: The farm hosts various special events, including popular Supper Clubs, Live Music Nights, and Pizza Nights. Check their events calendar for upcoming dates.

Accommodation: Heron Farm offers charming holiday cottages on the estate, providing an ideal base for an extended stay in the Devon countryside.

Dogs & Children: Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area of the restaurant and inside the Cellar Door. The farm environment, including the holiday cottages, is generally family-friendly.

The Wine

Heron Farm produces a diverse range of English wines, including refreshing still white, rosé, and red wines, alongside their acclaimed sparkling wine. Their first sparkling wine was released in 2021, with their still wines following in 2022.


The quality of Heron Farm's wines has quickly gained recognition. Their Heron Farm Rosé 2022 and Heron Farm Sparkling NV both secured Silver medals at the prestigious Wine GB Awards 2023. Additionally, their Heron Farm Bacchus 2022 earned a Bronze medal in the same competition, underscoring their commitment to producing exceptional English wines.


Committed to environmental stewardship, Heron Farm practices sustainable viticulture with a strong emphasis on organic methods where possible and a low-intervention approach. They actively work to enhance biodiversity within the vineyard and minimise the use of chemicals, reflecting their dedication to responsible farming.


All wines are crafted on-site in their own modern winery, ensuring complete control over the winemaking process from grape to bottle.
