The Wine

Foxbury Fields Vineyard specialises in producing high-quality, small-batch still white wines from two distinct grape varieties: Bacchus and Ortega. The Bacchus wine is characterised by pale lime-green hues and aromatic notes of elderflower, layered with kiwi, grass, and a herbal overlay. Their Ortega offers a delightfully perfumed, medium-dry white wine with refreshing lemon and orange aromas, known for being crisp and fruity.

The vineyard has garnered numerous accolades, including a South West Vineyards Association Silver medal. They have consistently won awards at the WineGB Awards, securing Bronze medals in 2020 (for Ortega), 2021 (for 2020 Bacchus), and 2023 (for 2021 Bacchus and Ortega). More recently, their 2022 Ortega and 2022 Bacchus wines were awarded Silver at the WineGB West awards in 2023, and the Bacchus 2022 received an award at the WineGB Awards 2024.

Foxbury Fields Vineyard is committed to sustainable growing and production methods, emphasising cultivation, land management, and environmental practices to minimise their ecological impact. They highlight that producing wine in the UK results in a significantly lower carbon footprint compared to imported wines. The vineyard operates its own winery, where hand-picked grapes are pressed and fermented separately to ensure the production of exceptional quality wines.
