The Wine
Fleur Fields Vineyard produces a diverse range of English wines, including still and sparkling white, rosé, and red varieties. Their collection features a variety of styles, from light and delicate whites to vibrant rosés and complex reds, alongside "Champagne method" sparkling wines. The vineyard has achieved significant recognition for its quality, having won two gold medals, thirty-seven silver or bronze medals, and nineteen trophies, including multiple Wine of the Year and Best Vintage trophies. Notably, their Fleur Fields Rosé has received five silver, three bronze, and six trophies, including Wine of the Year, while the Fleur Fields White boasts one gold, four silver, and four trophies, also including Wine of the Year. The viticulture practices at Fleur Fields include spraying vines with bicarbonate and a small amount of sulphur every 10 days, suggesting a focus on minimal intervention in their grape growing.
Fleur Fields Vineyard operates as a boutique producer, and while they oversee the entire wine production process, the grapes are transported to Three Choirs in Newent for de-stemming, pressing, and fermentation. After this initial stage, the fermented wine is returned to Fleur Fields Vineyard for bottling, labelling, and sale.
