What's the vibe

Nestled on the historic slopes of Bredon Hill in Worcestershire, Deer Park Wines offers a tranquil escape with stunning views of the surrounding Cotswold countryside and Malvern Hills. This family-run vineyard provides a serene setting where visitors can enjoy award-winning English wines amidst natural beauty, including a free-roaming deer park.

Visiting information

Tours & Tastings: Vineyard tours and wine tastings are available, typically requiring pre-booking. The "Grape to Glass Vineyard Tour and Wine Tasting" includes a walk through the Stag Oak vineyard, learning about viticulture, followed by a wine tasting at Deer Park Hall. While there isn't a full restaurant, delicious cheese and charcuterie platters can be ordered to complement your tasting, and special pizza pop-up events are occasionally held.
Special Events & Activities: Beyond wine, guests can experience a unique "English Safari" through the 1300-acre farm and deer park to observe Red and Fallow Deer up close. Deer Park Hall also hosts weddings and business events.
Accommodation: For those wishing to extend their visit, Deer Park Wines offers luxurious dog-friendly holiday accommodation on the estate, known as Deer Park Retreats. Options include Hollowcombe Cottage, Vine Lodge, and The Granary. These provide an ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds countryside.
Accessibility & Dogs: The venue is dog-friendly, particularly for the accommodation, with miles of walks available on the doorstep. Deer Park Wines also offers disabled access. Families are welcome, and activities like the English Safari may appeal to children.

The Wine

Deer Park Wines cultivates a variety of grapes including Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, Bacchus, Seyval Blanc, and Reichensteiner from its 2016-planted vineyards. They produce a selection of acclaimed still and sparkling English wines, showcasing the unique terroir of their Bredon Hill location. Their wines have received international recognition, consistently earning awards from prestigious competitions. Notable accolades include a Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA) Bronze Medal for their Rosé 2023, and DWWA Silver Medals for their Stag Oak Reserve and Pinot Noir. A Pinot Noir from the 2022 vintage also secured a Decanter Silver Award.

The vineyard is part of a larger 1300-acre organic farm, though Deer Park Wines is not certified as an organic wine producer. They have their own winery facilities on-site, allowing for complete control over the winemaking process from grape to bottle.
