The Wine

Bantham Vineyard, planted in May 2021, cultivates classic grape varieties including Pinot Noir, Pinot Noir Précoce, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Gris, and Chardonnay. They produce English still white and rosé wines, alongside a refreshing vermouth-based Rosé Spritz.

Their wines have quickly gained recognition. The 2023 Pinot Gris was awarded a Gold at the 2025 Taste of the West Awards and a Silver Medal at the 2024 WineGB Awards. Their Rosé Spritz also received a Silver at the 2025 Taste of the West Awards, and the New Release 2024 Pinot Gris secured a Bronze at the 2025 WineGB Awards.

The Bantham Estate is located within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and operates under demanding stewardship schemes, demonstrating a strong commitment to upholding high environmental principles. They undertake trials with different cover cropping methods to support biodiversity.

While the grapes are grown on the estate, Bantham Vineyard currently partners with Itasca Winery for the winemaking process.
