Opening Hours: The vineyard, tasting room, and shop are generally open to visitors on most Saturdays, Sundays, and bank holidays from 11 am to 5 pm. During autumn and winter, opening days may vary, so it is advisable to check their website or call ahead before visiting.Tours & Tastings: You can pop in for a drink and enjoy a glass of wine or a cheese and charcuterie board on the patio. Guided vineyard tours and tastings are regularly held on Saturdays between May and September, and booking in advance is recommended due to their popularity. A free self-guided vineyard tour and wildlife walk are also available.
On-site Food & Drink: While there isn't a full restaurant, the tasting room serves wine alongside delicious cheese and charcuterie boards.

The Wine

Albury Organic Vineyard produces a range of high-quality English wines, with a focus on sparkling wines and a still rosé. Their grape varieties include Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Seyval Blanc, and Pinot Gris, which are crafted into wines like the Albury Estate Classic Cuvée, Sparkling Rosé, Prestige Cuvée, and the popular Silent Pool Rosé.

Their wines have garnered significant recognition, including numerous international awards. The Silent Pool Rosé gained particular fame when it was served on the Royal Barge to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 2012. More recently, their Albury Estate Blanc de Noirs 2018 won two Gold awards in both Decanter 2022 and the Independent English Wine Awards 2022. Earlier successes include Gold Awards in the International Organic Wine Awards 2016 for their Albury Estate Classic Cuvée and Albury Estate Blanc de Blancs, alongside various silver and bronze medals in competitions like the Decanter Wine Awards and International Wine Challenge. They were also voted Drinks Producer of the Year in the Surrey Life Food & Drink Awards in both 2016 and 2018.

The vineyard operates on certified organic principles and is one of the few in the UK to also adhere to biodynamic practices. This holistic approach minimises chemical use and fosters a thriving natural habitat. Albury Organic Vineyard is also a founding member of the Sustainable Wines of Great Britain (SWGB) scheme, holding gold certification for their dedication to environmental stewardship, biodiversity, and sustainable practices, including fully recyclable packaging. While they produce their wines from grapes grown on site, specific details on an independent, dedicated winery building are not widely highlighted, but production is clearly managed by the vineyard team.

By Car
From Guildford, take the A25 towards Dorking. After Newlands Corner, turn off the A25 at the signpost for 'Silent Pool'. Follow the track that leads up alongside the Silent Pool car park to reach the vineyard. Parking is available on-site.

By Public Transport
The nearest mainline station is Guildford, approximately a 40-minute train journey from London Waterloo. From Guildford station, the vineyard is about a 10-15 minute taxi ride. Smaller local stations like Gomshall and Clandon are closer but require pre-booked taxis.
